A Different Kind of Faux-Celeb CommunityFaux Celeb communities come and go, sometimes they're short lived, sometimes they last forever. So, why are we here? What makes us different? Our premise. No agonizing over coming up with credits for your created celebrity here, we've done the work for you. The beauty of pre-made celebs is that it's just like an actual celeb community, except you get the creativity of coming up with your own character (rather than playing someone who exists in real life). We have used between 1 and 3 celebrities to create the "persona" of our premades. We decided their cred and personal history, their future is up to you. How will this work? Every few weeks we will post a list of movies and tv shows. On a first come, first serve basis, you may sign on to work on anything you think your character would likely participate in. With this list we will also include the dates the film will be in production, the promotional dates, and the premiere date. COMMUNITY RULES
001. We expect that everyone knows the basic rules: don't break ooc/ic lines, no one likes it; be as realistic as possible within the premise; don't kill off your kid, just leave the community; please check dramatic storylines with the mods first; and update more than once in a blue moon. ANY OOC drama caused is subject to immediate removal without warning.
002. We will remove you if you don't participate in sub-communities and threading/AIM. There is no strict update limit, but anyone seen not participating, with no journal update at 3 weeks WILL BE REMOVED. NO EXCEPTIONS. CHARACTER LIMIT is currently 3, as long as they all remain active and are participating in sub-communities.
003. AIM/THREADING. This is the most important factor. Of course, we all have lives out side of role playing. Role playing is a get away for some, a creative outlet for others, and a myriad of other things to the remaining people -- but without scening our characters have no hope of staying alive. The mods will be on as often as possible, looking around to make sure people are actually online/threading.
004. We consider this a mature celeb role-playing community and hope that the writers will treat it as such. Please keep the internet speak to a minimum and write with intelligence and thought behind your words. Even if your celeb is known for being ditzy, make sure you're not typing like a 12 year-old to get your point across.
005. All dark storylines must be approved by the mods. Pregnancy's must last the full term and get permission from the mods. Under no circumstances can you kill off your character or put them into a coma, or any other soap-opera like resurrection plot.
006. We will not change the credits to any pre-made, you can not change them yourself, please do not ask. Their history is up to us and the future is up to you. Regarding pre-mades, please make sure your PB's age is appropriate for the suggested age on your pre-made!
007. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to address them in THIS POST, the comments are screened and the mods will check them regularly.
008. And most importantly... enjoy yourself! Be creative! Let the writer in you out to play. We know we will. ;)
PRE-MADE/CREDIT FACTS
001. Pre-mades come with credits already assigned to them. WE WILL NOT CHANGE THESE CREDITS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
002. Each month we will post several different movies from all different genres and you will be able to sign your character up for a role on a first come/first serve basis. On these posts we will include the dates of production so you can judge whether it fits into your characters schedule.
003. LYRIC/DISCOGRAPHY CREDITS. We have given suggestions for you to choose from. You may choose your vocal credit and one extra lyrical credit from the suggestion list. The order in which albums are released are up to you. Please take their age into account with this.
004. We have marked each pre-made with an approximate age. It is up to you to decide your characters age within that range and pick a PB that fits as well.
005. We are more than willing to hear suggestions. If you feel your pre-made doesn't have enough credits based on their age/history, please run that by us and we will consider adding more. If you want to discuss changing the age, we will consider that as well. We're open to ideas, however, we will not change one credit for another. If we do that for one person, we have to customize for everyone.
006. OLDER PBS. We are considering adding over the age of 30 characters, however, the whole point of this game is to give people connections and a reason to have already set relationships. Until we have a decent number of people interested in over 30 characters, we will not open up that age group.
007. Why pre-mades? We want to give people already established relationships and connections. We feel the best way to ensure this is to give you your credit history and a little bit of back history. There are plenty of faux-celeb communities where you can create your own back history, but we're gung-ho on interaction, and hope that this idea will encourage that.
